A Hopkins Family First!

Yesterday marked our first family bike ride with no training wheels!  Dave finally got a bike (that wasn't my sister's from college 15 years ago - not that we didn't love the purple Jazz, Brittney ;) ) and Trent got a trail-a-bike and now we can take real bike rides!  We are sure to find ourselves out on the pleasant evenings ahead and on summer trips around town and to the ice cream shop!

Bowling + Dancing = FUN!

Mother/Son Bowling

This was Titus' and my third year to battle it out down the alley.  We have a good time, and more importantly to Titus, get free nachos and pop! Every year our scores creep closer together...but make no mistake, I still won. :)

Daddy/Daughter Dance

This was the long awaited year that Tess and Dave got to begin their annual dancing date. (She has been talking about this for no less than 2 years.) Tess picked out her dress in early March and spent the next few weeks making sure Daddy didn't see it. She did wear it 6 days early for Easter, but she added a sweater and different hair do so as to not ruin the surprise of the night. To mark the occasion she lost her first upper middle tooth the night before. We hid in her room as Daddy arrived home from work so he wouldn't spoil the surprise.  We did hair, and nails, and make-up.  She sent me upstairs to make sure Daddy was "doing" his hair. Then Daddy headed to the front door with corsage in hand to pick up his date.  He and Tessie went to Kaldera for dinner and then went on to have a magical time at their 1st annual, Daddy/Daughter Dance.  He's setting a high standard for any would be suitors...on purpose :)

Happy Easter!

We enjoyed Easter with 45 of our friends from town who don't have family in the area.  We gathered in our backyard on a beautiful day and celebrated our Hope!

Titus is 8!

Titus turned 8 in March and we celebrated with a party at Happy Joe's here in town.  Titus invited 7 of his buddies to his "comic" themed party.  He hit the jackpot with LEGO sets...his friends obviously know him well!

Fun times with good friends :)
4 times a year - I love making
cakes that represent what my kiddos
are "into". One of my creative outlets.
This one was my first go at major lettering.
